After being away from the limelight for many years actress Anu Agarwal, who became every man’s dream girl after her 1990 film Aashiqui became a hit, has started opening up about her journey. She had met with an accident in 1999, which had left her major injuries. In an interaction with Siddharth Kannan, she revealed that she was in a coma for 29 days. 

During an interview with the YouTuber, she recalled how many Bollywood celebrities had come to meet her while she was in the hospital. She shared that she couldn’t recognize anyone. The 53-year-old model-actor told Kannan, “There were some people who came to the hospital. Like Yash Johar, Karan Johar’s Dad came. I was told all these things, I was told later but the thing was that I was not recognising people.” ALSO READ: SHOCKING! She went on to share how many of them have maintained a cordial relationship with her. Having studied human psychology, she said that, “I must say whenever I have met anyone, they have deep concern and it shows on their face, even if they don’t say it. The way they look at me, I know they care. I definitely got a lot of care and a lot of success from the film business.”

Earlier, during an interaction with The Times Of India, Anu had opened up about her relation with Aashiqui director Mahesh Bhatt. She had expressed how till-date all her directors exchange pleasantries with her. She had said, “With Mahesh, we always stay in touch, exchange pleasantries, that is till date. For the unversed, Anu became an overnight sensation after the release of her movie Aashiqui. Unfortunately, the actress-model suffered major injuries and her face was severely damaged after a serious road accident. Eventually, she quit acting to follow her spiritual calling, and today she is a motivational speaker. She runs the Anu Aggarwal Foundation (AAF) and has received the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Award.
